In Medellín, Colombia’s second-largest city, "FISE" takes root and thrives in two distinctly different yet equally influential forms. One is a globally touring event focusing on the excitement of extreme sports, while the other is a professional industry exhibition dedicated to the power and energy sector. These two events, sharing the same acronym, infuse unique vitality into this city—hailed as "Colombia’s most competitive"—from the perspectives of youth culture and industrial development, respectively.
Sharing the same acronym as the extreme sports festival, FISE (Colombia International Power, Lighting & New Energy Exhibition) is another key business card for Medellín in the industrial sector. Founded in 2006, this biennial exhibition has completed nine editions and grown into a leading power industry event in Central and South America.
The 2023 edition attracted over 320 exhibitors, covered an exhibition area of more than 15,000 square meters, and welcomed nearly 28,000 professionals. The 2025 exhibition will further collaborate with the International Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE), with expected professional attendance exceeding 30,000. Focused on core areas such as power transmission, transformers, LED lighting, and new energy technologies, the exhibition serves as a critical platform for global enterprises to gain insights into Colombia’s power market trends and connect supply-demand resources. Against the backdrop of accelerated global energy transition, it has become a core hub for technical exchange and business cooperation
